MIXTURE--TURFGRASS

A turfgrass mixture is a combination of two or more different types of grasses, such as bluegrass and perennial ryegrass, or bluegrass and creeping red fescue.

A mixture tends to increase the disease resistance of the turfgrass stand as well as improving its adaption to the location or site.

A turfgrass blend is a combination of two or more different cultivars of the same grass species, such as two or three different types of Bluegrass such as 'Monopoly', 'Touchdown' and 'Adelphi'.
